Lilly is an early-career artist and arts educator, her practice explores the non-verbal connections between people, place and their environments. Through colour, texture, and abstraction, Lilly translates the unspoken and articulates the tangible expressions of these interactions in her works. She finds inspiration in the tactile environment and the language of materiality that surrounds her. Whilst exploring the contrast between the living fluidity in nature and the rigidity of societal structures. Incorporating her own personal influences through her story telling ability.
Having lived and worked across Australia, Lilly now finds herself in Central Australia, where the isolation of the desert and the dynamics of a small community continue to reshape her practice. She has exhibited nationally in public and private galleries and her work is held in both private and public collections. Lilly is currently lecturing at Charles Darwin University while maintaining an active studio practice on Arrernte Country Mparntwe / Alice Springs.
